Recommended for use in production tapping and drilling in work hardening grades of stainless steel and other hard metal applications. Precision ground tap threads for the ultimate in accuracy and performance. Spiral point taps are designed for machine tapping through holes in a wide variety of materials. The point of the tap continuously ejects the chips ahead of the tap, eliminating chip disposal problems and thread damage. 3 flats on shank. Gold Oxide bits have low temperature stress relief that enhances lubricity, reduces friction and increases tap toughness. For foreign car, motorcycle, and machinery threading purposes. Black surface treated threads for long life and rich appearance. These dies are used for threading rods, bolts, studs and other pieces requiring external threads. The outside hex configuration allows both wrench and die stock use in threading. Supplied in a sturdy plastic case. Type 20-AG taps and type 27-AG dies. Made in USA.
